Nice Numbers ("the App") is a personal milestone tracker provided as-is for entertainment and personal use. By using the App, you agree to these terms.
1.1 Acceptance. By accessing or using Nice Numbers, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the App.
1.2 Eligibility. The App is intended for users aged 15 and older. Under Slovenian law (ZVOP-2, Art. 8), 15 is the age at which a minor can consent to information-society services. If you are under 15, please use the App only with the consent and involvement of a parent or guardian.
1.3 Permitted use. You may use the App for personal, non-commercial purposes. You may not:
1.4 Modifications. We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue the App at any time without notice. We may update these Terms periodically. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
1.5 Intellectual property. All code, design, text, graphics, and other content in the App are protected by copyright and intellectual property laws. The Nice Numbers name, logo, and branding are proprietary. The share message templates, gift store catalog, and milestone algorithms are proprietary works.
2.1 Data we collect. Nice Numbers is designed with privacy at its core. The App operates entirely in your browser and does not transmit personal data to any server unless you explicitly choose to (e.g., sharing via WhatsApp, or using the gift store checkout).
Data stored locally on your device includes:
2.2 Where data is stored. Your milestone data (names, dates, settings) is stored locally in your browser's localStorage on your device, encrypted with AES-GCM. We do not have access to this data unless you choose to create an account.
2.3 Optional account and authentication. You may optionally sign in using Google, Apple, or email/password via Firebase Authentication (operated by Google). When you sign in:
2.4 Anonymous usage analytics. We collect anonymous, cookie-free usage analytics to improve the app:
Legal basis: we process anonymous analytics under legitimate interest (GDPR Art. 6(1)(f)) to improve the App. Because the data is cookie-free, non-identifying, and honours Do Not Track, we consider this proportionate. You can disable it by enabling Do Not Track in your browser.
2.5 Third-party services. When you use share or calendar features, data is sent to the respective service (WhatsApp, Google Calendar, Outlook, etc.) according to their privacy policies. We have no control over how these services handle the shared content.
2.6 Gift store. If and when the gift store becomes active, placing an order will require sharing personal information (name, shipping address, payment details) with our payment processor (Stripe) and fulfillment partners. This data will be processed solely for order fulfillment and will be governed by Stripe's privacy policy and our partners' privacy policies. We will clearly inform you before any such data is collected.
2.7 Your rights (GDPR / CCPA). Since your data is stored locally on your device, you have full control:
2.8 Children's privacy. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 15 through account sign-up. Core milestone data is stored locally on the device and not transmitted. If you believe a child under 15 has created an account, contact us and we will delete it.
2.9 Data retention. Your milestone data persists in your browser until you delete it or clear your browser data; we keep no server-side copy of it. If you create an account, the associated record (email, display name, premium status) is retained until you delete your account.
3.1 No warranty. The App is provided "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.
3.2 Accuracy. While we strive for accuracy in milestone calculations (dates, times, special number classifications), we do not guarantee that all calculations are error-free. Milestone dates are calculated assuming a birth time of midnight (00:00) on the date entered. Actual milestone moments may differ by up to 24 hours depending on your exact time of birth. Dates may also vary slightly due to time zone differences, leap year handling, or calendar system variations. Months and years use calendar-accurate arithmetic; seconds, minutes, hours, days, and weeks use exact elapsed time. Do not rely on the App for time-critical decisions.
3.3 Limitation of liability. In no event shall the developers, contributors, or operators of Nice Numbers be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of data, loss of profits, or business interruption, arising out of or in connection with your use of the App.
3.4 Gift store disclaimer. Gift products shown in the App are for illustration purposes. Actual products may vary in appearance. Prices are indicative and may change. Delivery times are estimates. We are not liable for the quality, safety, or timeliness of products delivered by third-party fulfillment partners.
3.5 Third-party links. The App may contain links to third-party services (calendar, messaging, payment). We are not responsible for the content, privacy practices, or availability of these services.
3.6 Indemnification. You agree to indemnify and hold harmless the developers of Nice Numbers from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your use of the App or violation of these Terms.
Nice Numbers uses browser localStorage (not cookies) to save your dates, settings, and preferences. This data never leaves your device unless you explicitly share or export it. By using the App, you consent to this local storage. You can remove all locally stored data at any time by clearing your browser's site data for nicenumbers.app.

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Slovenia, without regard to conflict of law provisions. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Ljubljana, Slovenia.
